"We would like to come to the island to get married in peace and with dignity we cannot find elsewhere. We would like a quiet experience which we will keep in our hearts. All the rest we are yet to see."
I often feel that words are not enough to convey the emotion of my experience when I work with people who I feel a deep connection with. It just feels like what author Elizabeth Gilbert calls "Big Magic". The love that Marta and Amogh feel for eachother and for Marta's daughter, Lena, is equally difficult to put into words, so I hope the images below will be enough to make you feel the intimacy, peace, and emotion of their wedding day here on Aeroe island.
When all three were ready, we drove to a quiet stretch of beach at Vester Strand, to a beach hut owned by wedding planner Louise Moloney of Danish Island Weddings, where Marta and Amogh had the heartfelt quiet ceremony they desired, followed by some playtime in the water and a lunch prepared by local cafe and farmer's market, Den Gamle Købmandsgaard.
After our lunch, we all jumped in my car and explored some of my favourite places on the island.
Incredibly honoured to have been part of this special wedding day. The world needs more Martas and Amoghs...
