Most of us who get into wedding photography or photography in general do so because we like to take pictures, not because we like business. And for years I felt like "marketing" was a big business word that didn't have anything to do with me. I thought marketing was the same as advertising or commercials.
And I think many photographers share that feeling. It may all be because we dread putting our work or ourselves out into the world and risk being judged or evaluated. But it may also be because we hate the idea of "selling". Selling doesn't feel very artistic + like most other people today, we don't like being sold to. It puts us off. And for some it may not at all be about insecurities but instead it all just seems too confusing or overwhelming and you're not clear on where to start or where to best invest your time, money and energy.
In this module we're going to take the scary out of marketing, and I'm going to teach you the ways that I market my business and my work in a very soft and un-sales'y way, by mostly letting others do the "selling" for me.
So let's get started!
